There are dark, wicked spiritual powers that rule the world by force and that need to be combated by the Church. But what kind of battle is necessary? Is it one of brute power or force? Or is it a battle in which truth encounters the minds of many? What artillery is at the disposal of the Church to combat these forces? Paul in Ephesians 6:10-20 outlines these things, lending to the Body of Christ a battle plan of sorts. In this sermon the Christian is encouraged to become Soldiers for Christ and engage the “god of this world” in spiritual battle for the souls of men.
